The Haumoana School Polar Plunge 2002   My first royal duty was to participate in the Haumoana School Polar Plunge on Sunday the 28th of July, 2002. For the occasion I wore my Royal Fluffy Bikini. It was a chilly winters day and although it looks pleasant in the photo, it wasn't. One spectator commented that I must be the King because I had turned royal blue. I also performed the duty of drawing the winning raffle ticket from a bucket. Once the participants had done the obligatory swim there was hot sausages and soup to warm the soul.
